Young Environmental Consultants Association (YECA) Presents: Part 2 Biological Services

On June 15th 2016, five of WRM’s young (five years’ experience or less) consultants attended the Young Environmental Consultants Association (YECA) presentation night. The presentation was the second part of a series on careers in the environmental industry, with part 2 focusing on biological services. In attendance were Chris Hofmeester, Bonita Clark, Kim Nguyen, Fintan Angel and Emma Thillainath.

Presenting on the night were four experienced and enthusiastic scientists and consultants across a broad range of biological services; Ron Firth (ecologist), Kelly McCreery (botanist), Fiona Taukulis (aquatic ecology) and Glen Gaikhost (zoologist). All presenters gave a fascinating insight into their careers, and were open to giving advice to younger and less experienced environmental consultants. It was a fun night, with opportunity to network with other young consultants (and eat delicious pizza). The next part of the series is set to focus on Water Resources, where WRM hope to present on the night.
